| The following authors are mainly UK and Australian based writers of regional sagas spanning from the 17th to the 20th century. Some themes their books depict are - times of hardship, the working class, industrial Great Britain, WWI & II, family dramas, etc. I have read many of the authors listed below and can thoroughly praise them to readers. Romance can and does play a part in some of the authors' works below, but it is not always the main feature of the story. Their novels can be much more grittier and down to earth than pure romance novels. Something to get your teeth into as my old mum used to say, and being a Yorkshire lass, she should know. |
