Kitty McKenzie's Land is the sequel to

her befriended servants Alice and Hetta. In Sydney, Kitty’s fiancé, Ben,
introduces her to the city’s upper society. Kitty loves Ben as much as he loves her.
With this marriage, her family will at last be restored to the status they held before her
mother and father died. She had promised her parents to take care of her brothers and
sisters and to keep them together. Only her brother Rory left, not wanting to face the
poverty into which the family fell.
But fate isn't finished with Kitty, for on her wedding day Ben is killed in an accident on
the way to the church. Ben’s wealth reverts to his mother, but he leaves Kitty his
wedding gift. She receives five hundred acres in Australia’s Bush. Grieving but
undaunted, Kitty ventures there to reestablish her family’s security. Unimaginable
