Welcome to my website!

I've been writing for over eleven years and been a reader for a lot longer.
A love of historical fiction started at an early age and soon the stories in my head
demanded to be heard. While researching for my hobby, genealogy, I began to write my first
novel and, the stories that had been company for years, suddenly became real on the page.

I'm also active within the writing and reader community. I'm a member of Romance Writers
Australia, Romance Novelists Association UK and Historical Novel Society.

Some reviews for my books...

Long Distance Love is a most remarkable read. The style of writing is exquisite.
Anne Whitfield writes stories that touch the heart. She is an incredible writer who
takes believable challenging characters and spins tales that get better like fine wine
and I believe this is an extraordinary read.
~ ~Cherokee, Reviewer for Coffee Time Romance

Frankly, if you've ever been a fan of Catherine Cookson, you are going to love
Anne Whitfield. Kitty McKenzie was a remarkable, deeply moving and powerful
read I hated to see end and one in which I highly recommend.
~ ~Marilyn Rondeau, RIO - Reviewers International Organization

Anne Whitfield has carefully crafted a powerful love story with vivid characters
who will stay with you long after the book is read.

~ Mirella Patzer, author

Anne Whitfield has written a heart-touching story about a family who is doing their
best to survive in times that life is so difficult that you can hardly call it a life."

~ Annick Euro Reviews

Kitty McKenzie is a strong woman who has to struggle and triumph over many
adversities in Anne Whitfield's historical saga. A powerful tale of heartbreak, pain
and survival, Kitty McKenzie is a spellbinding tale reminiscent of the novels of
Catherine Cookson and Barbara Taylor Bradford's A Woman of Substance.

From the first page of A Noble Place, readers will cry, fight and strive with
Phillipa through all her hardships, until she discovers what it is she really wants
.
~ ~ Anita Davison, author of Duking Days Rebellion

Anne Whitfield has written a heart-touching story about a woman who is doing
her best to survive in a confusing and difficult time of her life. This book will
remain in their memory long after they finish the last page.
